Part-time Bid Writer & Fundraising Lead

We’re growing – and we’re excited to offer a new opportunity for an experienced and creative Bid Writer & Fundraising Lead to join our team.

About the Role
This role requires excellent writing skills, creativity, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. This is a hands-on role with scope to shape the future of our income generation strategy. You’ll lead the full bid writing process – from identifying funding opportunities through to submission – while also driving creative fundraising initiatives and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

You’ll be supported by the Nice 2 Meet Ya team and work closely with colleagues to bring in funding that helps us do more of what we do best.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, identify and apply for appropriate grants, trusts and other funding opportunities

• Lead the creation of compelling, high-quality content for funding bids, tenders and proposals

• Submit and upload applications, PQQs, tenders and supporting documentation

• Support the development of winning bid strategies, identifying key themes and USPs

• Monitor and manage timelines, bid planning documents, and internal processes

• Work closely with the team to launch and grow creative fundraising campaigns and initiatives

• Build relationships with donors, stakeholders and potential partners to support long-term giving

• Develop reports and proposals for funders and internal use, tracking impact and engagement

• Keep data and records accurate and up-to-date in line with legal and charity policy requirements

• Play an active part in shaping our income generation approach and future opportunities

 

About You

You’re a skilled bid writer and/or fundraiser with a collaborative spirit and a strong sense of purpose.

• A proven track record in writing successful bids and/or securing income from donors, corporates or trusts

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels, from funders to partners

• A strategic and creative approach to income generation

• A self-motivated and organised way of working, able to meet deadlines under pressure

• At least 2 years’ experience in bid writing or fundraising (though we are open to candidates who can show equivalent impact)

• Experience/ knowledge of (or interest in!) working with Neurodiverse adults – helpful but not essential
